On November 13, 2005, several massage therapists joined together at Educating Hands School of Massage along with the FSMTA donated their time to massage people earning money to help support the Habitat for Humanity organization.  It was a special day and many people gave and received there.

On July 1, 2005  Don Shetterly was awarded the Outstanding Chapter Service Award for all of the hard work that he has put into setting up the email list for the local Dade Chapter of the Florida State Massage Therapy Association.  As RoseAnne Eliasson said, "Don has brought us into the 21st Century".  Don is the Email Cordinator of the Dade Chapter of the FSMTA.

On June 24, 2005  Don Shetterly completed Level 2 of the Trager ® Approach to Bodywork.  Don is currently working on the field work that is required so he will be able to attend Level 3 training as he works toward certification.    For more information on Trager® go to www.trager.com .  There is one additional level of training to be completed before Don can be certified as a Trager® Practitioner.  However, Don is considered a Trager Student at this time..

On April 17, 2005  Don Shetterly completed Level 1 of the Trager ® Approach to Bodywork and at this time is now considered a Trager Student.  For more information on Trager® go to www.trager.com .  There are two additional levels of training to be completed before Don can be certified as a Trager® Practitioner.

But Catherine Ferrera and Jaclyn Rera of Girl Scout Troop 103 want to make people think of something else: health and fitness.The two have created a Gold Award project - a sort of graduation for Girl Scouts - that turns the focus from tasty treats to staying in shape.
